Every year on November 1st, Karnataka comes alive with vibrant colors of red and yellow, symbolizing the pride of being Kannadiga. This day, known as Kannada Rajyotsava, marks the formation of Karnataka state in 1956, uniting Kannada-speaking regions under one identity.
The festival is not just about remembering history—it’s about celebrating the essence of Kannada culture. Streets are adorned with flags, schools and organizations host cultural events, and the air echoes with patriotic songs like Jaya Bharata Jananiya Tanujate.
From literature to music, art to architecture, Karnataka has gifted India a treasure of heritage. Rajyotsava reminds us to respect our roots, honor our language, and take pride in our traditions while embracing modern progress.
On this day, let’s wear our pride, wave our flag high, and say together—
“Elladaru Iru, Enthadaru Iru, Endendigu Nee Kannadavagiru!”
